"The future of US soccer will be molded by the likes of Alyson Yant and Christopher Hollewijn, two young and extremely talented soccer coaches and players.  They bring enthusiasm to the game that only comes from a genuine passion for soccer and the desire to be the best they can be, whether coaching or playing!" - Ex Pro Mike Simon (San Jose Earthquakes, Deportivo Armenio- Argentina, Reno Rattlers Founder, Current U-17 Mens Coach, Tahoe)

"As a former player and licensed coach myself, I am very impressed with the professional coaching my two sons have received from Aly and Chris. I have coached my sons teams in the past, and I had been hoping to find them a new club with excellent coaching. I feel confident I have found that with Chris and Aly. They create a positive, highly motivated soccer training environment that would benefit players of all abilities. I highly recommend them to any player looking for great coaching!" -- Monty Walker (Licensed coach and team parent)

My life has been a soccer and sports odyssey.  I was born in the Netherlands, and my family moved to the U.S. when I was young.  Ever since I can remember, I have played soccer, and along the way I've tried just about every other sport I can think of.  For the last 6 years I have been coaching youth soccer, including youth, high school, and college players.

If there's one thing I've learned, it is that you can never stop learning.  Just when you think you have something figured out, you figure out that you don't know much.  I have also learned that this is sports at its essence.  Sports are played by individuals, and individuals are very unpredictable.  You can never underestimate someone's capabilities.

As a result, I have pushed myself to never stop learning so I can be as prepared as possible.  In addition to educating myself through various soccer organizations and programs, I have also pursued personal fitness training, nutrition, alternative health and medicine, self-help, psychology, and business avenues as a way of broadening my knowledge and experience as a complete student and ambassador of the game of soccer.

I love soccer, and I love sports.  They are natural to me, and have provided me with many virtues, lessons, and a positive mentality regarding competition and life.

Coaching has given me the opportunity to share this love with, and help inspire, the youth who are striving to have a similar experience as I had.  I push myself hard to get better as a coach each day, and I hope to achieve and live out the big dreams and goals I have set out for myself.

I grew up in Idaho Falls, ID. My interest in goalkeeping began when my three older brothers and I built a soccer goal in our backyard as a kid.  I suppose it was because I am the youngest that I was thrown into the goal so my older siblings could shoot at it, and with this developed a slight craziness that it takes to be a strong goalkeeper. For eight years I played club soccer for FC Ballistic, reaching the Far West Regional tournament one year. Upon graduating high school I played for two years at North Idaho College, leading the team to 3rdand 2ndUSSF'E' license and the NSCAA Regional GK Diploma.
place finishes in the conference.  As a freshman I set a conference and school record .22 GAA.  After NIC I transferred to Gonzaga University where I played one season in 2004.  After finishing my playing career, I returned to North Idaho College for one season as a volunteer assistant coach, focusing primarily on the goalkeepers. This will be my third season coaching for the Bozeman Blitzz, second as the club goalkeeper coach. In May 2008 I received a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Montana State University and am currently pursuing a master's degree.  I also currently hold a USSF'E' license and the NSCAA Regional GK Diploma.

I was raised with a soccer ball at my foot. Not only did I get the opportunity to grow up in beautiful Southern Oregon but I also got a chance to live and play in a community that was a hot bed for soccer.

My father was the founder of the Southern Oregon Fuego, coached my state champion team, played on many different teams at all levels, and was my largest influence on my soccer career. I have become a coach because I have seen not only in him how soccer shaped his life, but also how it has shaped and influenced mine.

I played at all of the levels that Southern Oregon offered:  RVSC Chaos/ Southern Oregon Fuego State Champion team under Jorge Yant and Iman Siadat, RVSC Crossfire under Cindy Jolly, F.C. Southern Oregon under Mike Dunn and Gary Osterhedge, Ashland High School Varsity under Eric Wolff, and various ASC teams under Dana Yearsly, Brad Roupp, and Dale Rooklyn.
Each one of those coaches at every level taught me not only how to kick a ball but how to be an athlete, a disciplined person, and all in all how to be an adult. My coaches became a large influence on my life.

I see coaching as an opportunity to teach kids about life in a way that to them is pleasurable and rewarding.
Soccer is an obsession and passion that is indescribable; through my years of spending weekends playing, watching my brother play, watching my father play, and watching the pros play, I have developed a strong sense of belonging in the soccer world along with the athletic world. Still today I hold health and fitness as a high standard in my life.

Due to injuries and other health issues I have had to hang up my cleats, although, this has not hindered me from fully indulging in the soccer world. Despite these set backs I have been able to study the game from a whole new perspective, involve myself in the art of learning all aspects of the game, and now adding a whole new dimension to my outlook on athletics and sports as a whole. Coaching has become a god-send for me and now a hopeful career.

I have been a player much longer than a coach and the transition has been a lot of fun. I played on a competitive club that was regionally ranked and won many tournaments including state four years in a row(Blackdog.) I played Varsity soccer all four years of high school were I was, All State, All Conference, Team Captain, MVP, and 2002 State Champs. In college I attended NIC. There, we won a conference championship and I was team captain along with All Conference, MVP, nominated athlete of the year as well as a few others accomplishments.

As a coach I focus on team possession. I love the game of soccer and enjoy instilling the same passion into my players. My teams work hard but have a lot of fun doing so. My first year of coaching was a U-11 girls team, and then was lucky enough to coach them again at U-17. The U-17 girls team won state and few girls went on to play in college. For the last year and a half I have been coaching the U-15 now U-16 girls. We have won the Hot Shots Tournament, 3rd at Blue Mountain Exchange Showcase and ranked Number One going into state (state tournament was canceled). I will be getting my D license as well as advanced regionals in the weeks to follow. I am still learning the game as a coach and can't wait to see where it takes me.
